Obsessed Girls, Staying Up late, and tons of Twilight! :D

Howdy!

I'm going to tell you about my library-party fun and such, as I said I would. :)

Ok, so let's start with the party! - It was... interesting and fun, I suppose. If you call screaming, obsessed, over-dramatic fan girls 'interesting.' There were two girls there that were, for lack of better words, obsessed with Twilight to the highest degree.

So, it started when the The librarian said that we could go up to the front of the room and say

1) who our favorite charcter is and why

2) what we think is going to happen in the fourth book

Pretty simple, right? Here's what one of the girls (who I'm going to identify as Blue Shirt, since I don't know her name) said:

"Hi -giggle-, ok, um -giggle-, I like to call myself Bella, because -giggle- I think I look like her and also because I think I act like her. -giggle- My friend calls me Bells, -giggle- and yeah."

I'm not even going to bother explaining the rest, except for the fact that her favorite character was... Edward! Of course, you HAD to have seen that one coming. She gave this really detailed description of why she liked Edward and how un-selfish he was and yadayadayada. Plus, Blue Shirt and her friend could reenact the entire Twilight Movie Trailer, because they had memorized it word for word! Those are some dedicated fans you've got there Stephenie Meyer!

If I daresay, they sound more obsessed than the Harry Potter fans... O:

Anyway, it was interesting and we got ice cream. :)

The sleepover was fun too. We stayed up really, really, really, really, really late (oopsies). And we were only really, really tired the next day, so I think that was a bonus.

And now tonight I'm going to be tired - AGAIN. Because tomorrow Breaking Dawn comes out and my dad and I are staying at the bookstore until midnight to get it!! :D I'm super excited.

I'll let you know how that goes too!

Parties, Sleepovers, Master C, Oh my!

¿QuĂ© tal? Not much is going on here... I did mostly schoolwork today and tonight I'm going to a shindig thing at the library with a friend, who I'm going to identify as Master C, to keep his/her identity hidden. Maybe I'm just paranoid, but it's better to be safe than sorry, no? I'm sure Master C is going to get a kick out of his/her name once he/she sees it!
But I digress.
As I was saying, we're going to a little shindig and it's for the book Twilight. I'm sure many of you have heard about it - it's close to being the new "Harry Potter." Twilight is not just one book though, it has it's own series, and Master C and I are going to the party for the new book that's coming out. Check out the author's website: Stephenie Meyer - Author of Twilight.
And then after the party, I'm going to be sleeping over at her house (I'm willing enough to reveal that Master C is a girl) and spending the day with her tomorrow. Then, after all of this, we're going to volunteer at the library.
Phew. We're going to be completely wiped out.
OH! Speaking of being wiped out, how many of you out there watch the TV show Wipeout? Well, if you haven't and you want a serious, real-honest-to-goodness laugh, be sure to watch it. It's on ABC on Tuesday night, 8:00 sharp (eastern time, btw). Maybe later on I'll make a post about my favorite shows to watch... Hmm...
Well, I'm off to go get ready to party! Keep on blogging, bloggers - and if you aren't a blogger... just keep doing whatever it is that you're doing.

Ideas, ideas, ideas... Got any?

So, there's this new idea in the news that cell phones can possibly cause cancer.

No joke.
If you ask me, it's a little too... spontaneous. Don't you think? I mean, all of a sudden, cell phones are causing problems. They supposedly emit electromagnetic radiation. It can be especially harmful to children, because their brains are still developing. Yeah? Try telling that to the millions of teenagers who are one their cells 24/7!
Dr. Ronald B. Herberman, director of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, says there's no definitive answer, but that it's better to be safe than sorry.
Well. What do you think? Let me know!

Ratatouille... The finished product.

So, the ratatouille went over really well! It was really delicious. Definitely recommend making it, even if you don't like veggies, like me. I don't like any of the vegetables in the dish (except for potatoes) - but I liked the ratatouille! Yeah, I know, I'm crazy...

Ratatouille... Yum. :)

So, yesterday my mom decided that we're going to make ratatouille for dinner tonight... We loved the movie and we've been dying to make the recipe. Let me tell you, it sounds super yummy! Here's the recipe that I think we're going to use: Rachael Ray's Version of Ratatouille! We're off to the Farmer's Market to buy some veggies, so see ya!

I'll be sure to post pics of the finished dish!

Sorry!!

OK.
So, I've been a bad girl and haven't posted in FOREVER.
I'm sorry!
I have a thing called a life. I do school, swim... Do school. ;) So, yeah...

Anyway, once I think of something to write about, I'll get back at ya. :)

About me: Favorite Music! :)

So, this time I'm going to talk about one of my favorite things - music! I love listening to music, as long as I like the band/song.

A current favorite is Taylor Swift. I really like her songs and how they're country, but have a modern teen sound to them (if that makes any sense). I'm hoping that she comes out with a new CD soon! This week she's #10 on the Country Billboard charts! Whoo, go Taylor! :) Here's her website for those who care:

Another favorite of mine is the Jonas Brothers! I love them. :) I love their songs, too. Their new song, Burning Up, is definitely on my list of fav. Jonas Brothers songs. Their CD is highly anticipated!! They are at #11 on the Pop Billboard charts - not bad, eh? Here's their website:

There are many, many others, but that's just a quick view for you. My favorite genres are country and pop. Another time I'll give you more info about my favorite music. :]

Nothing New...

Hey,

There's really nothing new over here lately... I've been doing school a lot. Right now it's raining really hard outside, which is kind of unfortunate, seeing as how we have to go somewhere in about 40 minutes. Hopefully the sky will be done by then!
More later!

Hello New People...

Hey guys!

I don't know if anyone here is new, so if you are - Welcome! Enjoy browsing through my random talking. ;)

If anyone here is new, I bet it's from my mom's blog. Since she introduced my blog, I'm introducing hers! You can view it on the right toolbar, underneath 'Life on a dirt road.' Click away... and that's her blog! For those of you who have read the blog, believe me - happy noodles are delicious. ;) Mom is an awesome cook.

Also notice, as one of my new features, I have added a poll to the right toolbar. If you don't mind, just take it. I'm interested to see the results.

Thanks guys!

Xoxo,
Nina

P.S. Don't forget to comment on both blogs! Trust me, we both love comments. ;]

My day today - so far!

Hello!

Today the family (including the dog) went to a nearby park to fly my sister's kite. We all had a lot of fun, even though it was pretty hot outside! The kite is really pretty. Its a pink and black fairy. :)

I'll post some pics later!

My Pictures and the weather

Hey everyone!

I added some pictures down at the bottom of my blog, so go check them out and let me know what you think!

I'm over here sweating up a storm. It's really hot outside today. At least it's not cold though - I like summer better.

Stay nice and cool!

Homeschoolers!

Ok, so as my second post I'm going to talk about homeschooling... I've been homeschooled my whole life and I love it! People often say that homeschoolers are 'anti-social' and they sit at home in their PJ's all day. NOT TRUE! I do a lot of schoolwork and I don't sit at home in my pajamas all day (well, ok, sometimes I do). Plus, I have lots of friends and I hang out with them often. I'm currently doing all of my school through an online school, called FLVS. I love it! It's a lot of fun. :)

The main reason that I'm doing this blog is for journalism purposes. I want to be a journalist and blogging is part of journalism!
